Woody Invasive Species Control Work Day

Come join like-minded conservationists in controlling invasive shrubs along the scenic Rogue River!

Trout Unlimited is partnering with Kent Conservation District and Rogue River Watershed Partners to host a conservation service day at Rogue River Park on Saturday, February 25th from 10am – 1pm at the White Pine Trail parking lot (just off of Belmont Ave NE and the White Pine Trail, north of Lynhurst St NE.) See attached map.

Winter is a great time to control woody invasive species, so come find out more. All ages are welcome, no experience necessary. A large container of hand-saws and outdoor gloves will be provided. Please bring good outdoor gear and a water bottle. Feel free to bring loppers and hand pruners and trash bags to collect invasive berries. For more information, please contact Jamie Vaughan at (312)391-4760 or jvaughan@tu.org.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!
