WMEAC Rooftop Garden Maintenance and Education Day

  • WMEAC 1007 Lake Drive Southeast Grand Rapids, MI, 49506 United States (map)

Learn about how green roofs can help solve stormwater pollution in urban areas! During this hands-on workshop, you will get the opportunity to learn from experts in the field and help maintain green infrastructure. WMEAC is seeking volunteers to assist with the Spring maintenance of their office’s rooftop garden. Come learn about our LEED certification of a "Zero Stormwater Site" and how native plants can protect the water quality of our lakes and rivers.

Gardening supplies will be provided however volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves, water, and hand tools to reduce shared contact.

Per the MDHHS face masks and social distancing during this event will be required at all times. We are restricting this event to 20 volunteers per the outdoor event regulations at this time.

For any questions or concerns please contact Kyle at khart@wmeac.org.
