Flat River Clean Up

  • 2257 Segwun Avenue Southeast Lowell, MI, 49331 United States (map)

"The Grand River is the longest river in Michigan. Most freshwater fish species that call Michigan home can be found there. Trout, Salmon, Bass, Catfish, Musky, Walleye, and many others. Not only do fish call this river home, there is an abundance of birds, reptiles, insects, and mammals that depend on this watershed.

The river flows through urban and rural areas picking up many pollutants along the way. This is our chance to give back, and clean up some of the trash found along the banks. We will meet in the morning and set up teams to disperse out to different areas along the Grand and Flat River. Gloves and trash bags will be provided. After the cleanup, we will be providing some food and drinks for everyone at the boat launch.

Then immediately after, we invite you to attend the Backcountry Hunters and Anglers Pint Night. Located at Big Boiler Brewing in Lowell. We will be auctioning off some great items like guided fishing trips by and gear. The proceeds will go to The Flat River Watershed Council, and Back Country Hunters and Anglers.
