Healing Our Waterways - Restoring the Grand Rapids Presentation

  • Westin Book Cadillac, Detroit, Michigan 1114 Washington Boulevard Detroit, MI, 48226 United States (map)

Each year, Healing Our Waters – Great Lakes Coalition brings together a diverse group of over 400 attendees from throughout the Great Lakes region to the Great Lakes Conference. The conference provides a two-day forum for participants to learn about important Great Lakes Restoration issues, network at the largest annual gathering of Great Lakes supporters and activists, and develop strategies to advance federal, regional and local restoration goals.

This year, the conference will be held at the historic Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in the heart of downtown Detroit. Experience Detroit's rebirth firsthand and enjoy a city rich with history, culture, cuisine and nature.

The two-day conference will feature sessions, networking and offsite events. Choose among nine outstanding field trips, including kayaking on the Detroit River, a 2 1/2 hour boat ride or an educational tour of the ongoing water crisis in Flint. On Wednesday evening, enjoy dinner, entertaining and networking during a reception at the historic Ford Piquette Avenue Plant - the birthplace of the Model T - now a museum and event venue. For more information about the conference agenda and other details, please visit the event Web site healthylakes.org.

A block of rooms has been reserved for our attendees at the Westin Book Cadillac at a rate of $189 plus tax. Valet parking is available at $20/night.

Register now! We look forward to seeing you in Detroit in May 2019!
