LGROW's Water Quality Data Repository

Are you in search for water quality data about a local body of water? Look no further. LGROW has created a data repository that can be accessed on our website here: https://www.lgrow.org/data-repository. This tool allows user to easily access data uploaded by professionals or communities to see what the water quality is around the Lower Grand River Watershed. The goal of this data repository is to allow members of the watershed to quickly and easily learn about their local water quality.

Users of the data repository can find a wide range of useful data. The green dots represent biological data. This could include data such as fish community, macroinvertebrate water quality, or assessment of the habitat in a body of water. The blue dots represent chemical data collected. The data repository allows user to access a wide range of chemical  parameters from water temperature to total phosphorus in the water. The red dots are sites where organizations like Trout Unlimited have installed real time water quality data loggers. These loggers continually monitor the water in the stream for parameters including water quality and conductivity. To find the data simply click on a dot in the map and the data that goes with that dot will pop up.

For now, we ask that only professionals and communities enter data in to the data repository. We also ask teachers refrain from submitting student data to the data repository, LGROW will have a student collected data portal soon that teachers can enter data into. If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment or question at the data repository page.
